Vlog: My Vacation in Thassos, Greece

Přepis do textu

Hi there, English Hackers, it’s me, Markét, and this is another travel video, this time from a beautiful Greek island, Thassos, where I arrived yesterday in the evening. I was quite tired so I didn’t let you know yesterday. I only had dinner and went to bed.  But today, I’m fresh and ready to show you this beautiful island so let’s go.

Well, you probably can’t see it properly but today, it’s the total lunar eclipse. Over there.

Okay, this is one of the most popular beaches here on the island. It’s called Tripiti Beach and it’s well-known for its white sand as you can see over there behind me. And I’m going swimming because it’s hot so bye bye, see you soon.

We’re climbing the stairs to the ancient theatre, acropolis. It’s upon the hill. And we are in the capital city of the island called Thassos so it has the same name as the island itself.

That’s the view of the capital from above the hill. It’s quite small as you can see. I think there are only about fifteen thousand or sixteen thousand people living on this island.

The green area over there, that’s the ancient agora (which is a market) and over there, you can see ferry boats.

This is the city centre of the capital during siesta. Nobody here.

I’m really looking forward to today’s trip, guys, because we’re renting jeeps and we’re going to the mountains to explore the area. It’s gonna be great. We’re going to see some waterfalls and we’re going to climb the highest mountain of the island, Ypsarion.

That’s Ypsarion, that’s the highest mountain of the island and that’s where we’re going.

Here we are, the top of the highest mountain of the island.

Hi, guys, we’ve just arrived in Theologos which is a little village in the mountains and we’re having espresso freddo which is our favourite coffee here in Greece and we’re going to explore the village. And I’m going to show you around.

This is their bus timetable, by the way. Very „professional“ and so confusing.

It’s said that if you stand in the middle of this circle and you face your zodiac sign and you make a wish, it will come true.

So we’re leaving. Bye bye, Thassos!

Přepis s překladem

Hi there, English Hackers, it’s me, Markét, and this is another travel video, this time from a beautiful Greek island, Thassos, where I arrived yesterday in the evening.

I was quite tired so I didn’t let you know yesterday. I only had dinner and went to bed.

But today, I’m fresh and ready to show you this beautiful island so let’s go.

Well, you probably can’t see it properly but today, it’s the total lunar eclipse. Over there.

No, nejspíš to pořádně nevidíte, ale dnes je úplné zatmění měsíce. Tamhle.

Stoupáme po schodech k antickému divadlu a akropoli. Je to na kopci.

Ta zelená plocha tamhle, to je antická agora (což je trh) a tamhle můžete vidět trajekty.

This is the city centre of the capital during siesta. Nobody here.

Tohle je centrum hlavního města během siesty. Nikde nikdo.

I’m really looking forward to today’s trip, guys, because we’re renting jeeps and we’re going to the mountains to explore the area. It’s gonna be great.

Na dnešní výlet se opravdu těším, lidi, protože si pronajmeme jeepy a pojedeme do hor to tam prozkoumat. Bude to super.

We’re going to see some waterfalls and we’re going to climb the highest mountain of the island, Ypsarion.

That’s Ypsarion, that’s the highest mountain of the island and that’s where we’re going.

Tamto je Ypsarion, nejvyšší hora ostrova a tam jedeme.

Here we are, the top of the highest mountain of the island.

A jsme tu, vrchol nejvyšší hory ostrova.

Hi, guys, we’ve just arrived in Theologos which is a little village in the mountains and we’re having espresso freddo which is our favourite coffee here in Greece and we’re going to explore the village.

And I’m going to show you around.

A já vás provedu kolem.

This is their bus timetable, by the way. Very „professional“ and so confusing.

Tohle je jejich autobusový jízdní řád, mimochodem. Velmi „profesionální“ a hrozně matoucí.

It’s said that if you stand in the middle of this circle and you face your zodiac sign and you make a wish, it will come true.

So we’re leaving. Bye bye, Thassos!

Tak odjíždíme. Ahoj, ostrove!

Napište mi o tom do komentářů. 🙂

P.S. Pomáhají vám má videa či kurzy a chtěli byste mě podpořit?
