Thanks for sending the link. It's me-I have a mess on my computer, phone, camera(je to výraz pro fotoaparát?A předložka by taky byla on my phone,on my camera?). Also thank you for your idea so that I'll make a video of our flat. That's great challenge to me.I've just realized that I'm also one of them who is samouk and hasn't started with speaking to oneself aloud.Recently I've been starting to read aloud what I learn. It seems to me that it sounds awfully.I'll try -se natočit a pak se poslechnout.Bye,Markétko.

camera - foťák kamera - video camera, nebo taky jen camera (matoucí, že?) :D samouk - self-learner Go for it, it's such a great practice and it gives you useful feedback on your progress. :) I want you to do it. - Tahle věta je správně. (Tady se totiž nejedná o účelovou vedlejší větu, je to jiný případ.) ;)

Yes, you're right, Dana. I want you to do it. (Já chci, abys to udělal. - Já chci co? tohle je věta podmětná? nejsem si jistá, už ze mě ty školské znalosti vyprchávají) :D I'll call them today so that they can give me their answer. (Já jim zavolám dnes proč? aby se stalo co? za jakým účelem? tohle je účelová věta a tady se používá "so that".) :) Oh, I've been to Montserrat and Barcelona, too. I definitely recommend that, Pája. :)

Market, maybe I have a silly question. 😊 When I come to a hotel reception desk, "jak pozdravím". I still feel that hello is a familiar greeting. What are the greetings during a day ? Good morning, good evening and what in between? Thanks.

Hi Dana, it's not a silly question, don't worry. "Hello" is just fine, it is a polite greetings and most used, too. And of course, you can always say "good morning, good afternoon, good evening" or ask "How are you?". ;)

Markét, lze zaměňovat "by" a "about" ve větách v 10. lekci? Myslím ve větách typu: I was terrified by the film. I'm excited about the news. Díky

Hi Dana, většinou platí, že se použije "by", ale "excited" se používá "about". :)

Markét, chtěla bych se zeptat na postavení "still" ve větě. V jedné předchozí lekci je věta: It's my dream to live in London, on the other hand, I still can't afford it. V poslední lekci je věta: Is it common that I can't still understand native speakers? V případě druhé věty, když "still" dám před can't, mám v memrise chybu. Je postavení příslovce ve větě dané? V obou větách má "still" stejný význam. Děkuji.

Hello, Dana. :) "Still" can be placed in many positions in a sentence, it always depends on what exactly you mean. I added your version with "still" before "can't" as an alternative answer so since now, it shouldn't be considered incorrect by Memrise. And yes, both sentences have the same meaning. ;)

Market, thank you very much. I wish I had such a great teacher at my younger age. But I’m trying to catch up. Mainly because of my grandchildren who have Czech as the fourth language and so we sometimes have to help with the English words (yesterday it was the word "plešatý" 😀) . They have English as the second language and so we sometimes help each other with grammar. Thankfully, there is SKYPE. Halloween lessons have been great for me - thanks.
